The Bible Museum
Ionel Tuțac:
A few year back, pastor Pitt Popovici gifted me two Bibles: the 1874 Romanian edition and the smallest Bible in the World. He said to me then: "Take these two Bibles to Romania and tell the people thatThe Holy Bible is not a museum piece." Along the years I have been collecting over 800 copies of the Bible in different languages and dialects, of different sizes and printed in different ages.
My dream is to build in the next years a Bible museum in Banat, and until then organize as many Bible exhibitions as I can in schools, churches, cultural houses and museum.
The Association supports the promotion of the Sacred Scripture in the following ways:
- the principles of organization and functioning of the association are based on the Word of God;
- the projects carried out include the teaching of the holy scriptures;
- the association distributes Bibles and New Testaments to those interested;
- the association organizes biblical study meetings for young people, ministers and people eager to know the truths of Scripture;
- the association is preoccupied with the reconditioning of old copies of the Bible;
- the association purchases old copies of the Bible for the future museum;
- the association organizes biblical exhibitions for schools and churches interested in promoting the Scripture;
- the association intends to purchase land for the construction of the Bible Museum;
- the association prepares volunteers to achieve the proposed objectives;
- the association looks for donors to purchase Bibles and build the Bible Museum.
